 I highly recommend this comprehensive beginner course for learning Russian.  There are several things in particular that set Anya's course apart from other places I've tried for learning a language. Anya has a very well organized learning format and helpful exercises. She stresses attention to the details of pronunciation, grammar, and the way to think like a Russian speaker. Most of all, Anya is very attentive to the progress of her students. Her audio assignments allow her to hear you speak and make corrections in your speech and grammar. In addition, she will provide extra assignments as necessary.  I could never get this kind of personal interaction from a book, a CD or a language app. Although the course is fast paced and challenging I never felt intimidated.   •  ~ Pronunciation – often overlooked in other courses, so students spend too much time visiting other sites to double check their understanding. However, you have focused on this element and this was an exceptional part of the course – accelerating the learning time for students 
  • ~ I was surprised at how quickly you can learn using videos of this type. So, I could pause, and listen as much as I needed. I could also check topics I hadn't quite understood. 
  • ~ Preferred this way of learning compared to lessons as I could go at my own pace, and re-check what I hadn't understood.  Really liked the layout and how the topics were introduced. I also enjoyed the different materials which made it fun rather than endless boring questions in a textbook. Surprised at how much I learnt and how quickly I learnt.  
  • ~ The videos on verbs, verb endings and pronunciation are outstanding – what a great idea. Everybody in previous courses presumes that students can learn this themselves – not so! 
  • ~ When working through your course, the hours flew by (I am on leave at the moment hence I have time to study) and I found I didn’t want to stop studying. I was amazed how fast and how much I learnt in a short period of time. This is probably due to the range of materials used.
  • ~ Anyone using this course will save themselves a lot of money and will be speaking Russian very quickly. I wish I had found this course earlier! But then it wasn’t ready.
